Street Lens: Your Augmented Reality City Guide
Street Lens is an Android application that provides an augmented reality experience to users. It allows users to obtain dynamic information about their surroundings like shops, restaurants, banks, ATMs, gas stations, landmarks, police stations, and other points of interest. These are shown as virtual signs overlaid on or above buildings. With Street Lens, finding the best of what’s around you is as simple and natural as looking down a street.
This app has more than seven categories/types of places to show from, including food, shopping, transport, banks, ATMs, fuel, emergency services, popular landmarks, and religious places. It conveniently switches from camera view to map view to list view without any tap of a button. Users can view the details of a place with just one tap and reserve a hotel, call an ambulance, call a shop in just one tap in details view. The app also allows users to freeze or unfreeze the camera view when it is displaying the places by just tapping on the pause/play icon at the bottom left of the camera view. Once done studying the places of interest, users can tap on the play icon and go back to normal view.
Lastly, Street Lens enables users to see the traffic around their place in the map view. Overall, Street Lens is an excellent tool for exploring your city with ease and convenience.
